Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trip Leader Training Specialist to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for hiring and training Trip Leaders to deliver high-quality tours of Great Britain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hiring and Training
    • Recruit and train Trip Leaders to deliver in-depth tours of Great Britain
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure Trip Leaders meet company standards
  • Coaching and Performance Management
    • Coach Trip Leaders to improve tour quality and exceed traveler expectations
    • Conduct performance management to ensure Trip Leaders meet company guidelines and excellence goals
  • Team Management
    • Lead a high-performing team of Trip Leaders who embody the company's culture and values
    • Manage relationships with Trip Leaders and vendors to ensure seamless tour delivery
  • Quality Assurance
    • Evaluate and act on quality issues from traveler and Trip Leader feedback
    • Support trip delivery and development to ensure exceptional traveler experiences
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to head office
    • Analyze data to inform training and coaching programs
  • Travel and Support
    • Travel with Trip Leaders and groups to provide coaching and support
    • Provide 24/7 emergency support and resolve operational/customer issues

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Proven experience in training and coaching in the travel industry
    • Experience in performance management and team leadership
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of the UK and its culture
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Education
    • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. hospitality, tourism, education)
