Job Title: Medical Secretary
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to a team of Consultant Oncologists and associated clinical staff, ensuring the efficiency of front-line services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinating clinic management and prioritizing workload
- Liaising with other medical secretaries and allied services
- Coordinating referrals and new appointments
- Providing first point of contact to the Consultants office
- Managing and sorting incoming postal and electronic mail
- Communicating with external trusts for patient care
- Covering for colleagues annual leave
- Performing various office duties
Requirements:
- Excellent keyboard skills and medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and meet timescales
- Clear and concise verbal communication
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
