We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at a busy Primary School in Tamworth. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a school environment and be proficient in SIMS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Inputting details onto SIMS
  • Answering phones and taking messages
  • Typing of letters and memos
  • Filing, faxing and photocopying
  • Dealing with parents and pupils
  • Assisting in the provision of comprehensive financial support services
  • Promoting the highest standards of financial probity and value for money
  • Preparing monthly reports to present to the business manager
  • Monitoring budgets within the academy
  • Overseeing communications with payroll services, teachers pensions and the local government pension scheme
  • Maintaining systems and procedures that ensure transactions are recorded
  • Overseeing preparations of invoices and collection of all fees
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes

As a School Administrator/Finance Assistant, you will be supported by Georgina Longhorne, Aspire People's Office & Technical consultant for the Staffordshire, Derbyshire and the Black Country areas.
