Accounts Office Assistant

As an Accounts Office Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department's day-to-day operations. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, reporting, and record-keeping.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Building a good rapport with clients and providing the accounting team with relevant information
- Perform data entry and reconciliations within integrated software systems
- General administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
**Key Skills**
- Previous experience as an accounts assistant or in a related role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage 50
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Tamworth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
