The Payroll Administrator role at Bell Cornwall Recruitment's client is a part-time opportunity that aligns with the requirements of a growing, independent accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will have experience using Sage 50 cloud Payroll and working in Payroll within an accountancy setting. They will be responsible for processing payrolls, calculating wages and deductions, and submitting RTI submissions to HMRC. Additionally, they will maintain employee payroll records, set up and process new employees and leavers, and produce financial reports for clients and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payrolls as per client requirements on Sage 50 cloud Payroll
  • Calculate wages, deductions, tax and NI contributions
  • Monthly / weekly staff wages with online banking BACS payments
  • Submit RTI submissions to HMRC for PAYE
  • Respond and resolve queries from clients and management relating to payroll
  • Maintain employee payroll records
  • Liaison with HMRC

Requirements:

  • Experience using Sage 50 cloud Payroll highly desirable
  • Experience working in Payroll in an Accountancy Practice
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office, especially Excel
