About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Site Director to join our team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, managerial leadership, and coordination of the operational function for the whole hospital on all 3 sites over a 24-hour period.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-profile visible presence and clinical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.
  • Be the point of contact for all staff within the Trust and assist and support patients and the public with their enquiries and complaints.
  • Liaise with senior management teams, department leads, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care, safety, and experience.
  • Manage and coordinate the operational function of the hospital, including budgetary control, clinical governance, health and safety, and human resources.
Requirements
  • First-level NMC registration with evidence of post-registration qualification to a minimum of degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, under pressure, and to time-critical deadlines.
  • Experience of dealing with financial systems, including budgetary control, clinical governance, health and safety, and human resources.
  • Ability to meet targets, support junior staff, and understand NHS targets and performance requirements.
  • Mentoring or clinical support experience.
