Rota Co-ordinator for Specialist Services

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to coordinate the medical staffing rotas for the Specialist Services and Surgery division. The postholder will ensure the provision of high-quality patient care by efficiently deploying junior and senior medical staff, and the post will involve working with junior doctors, consultants, senior management team and nursing colleagues, and the post is instrumental in the creation, implementation and management of medical staffing rotas.
To provide accurate and timely rotas and timetables for medical staff working across the Division of Specialist Services and Surgery
To provide out of hours medical rotas for the Division
To take key responsibility in providing administrative support in relation to the working patterns of medical staff in the Division
To be responsible for communicating future rotas and any changes to rotas to all relevant parties
To manage the rotas on a day to day basis, ensuring cover is provided in the event of sickness and absence and appropriately deploying staff as necessary
To act as a central point of contact for rota co-ordination and rota queries for all medical, nursing and administration staff within the Specialist Services and Surgery care group.
To ensure unresolved rota issues are escalated appropriately to the Speciality Leads, Directorate Manager, or Clinical Admin Lead

The post holder will be part of the Divisional Administration Team, closely working with the Clinical Administration Leads and Service Managers.
The post holder will be required to work for long periods of time with frequent use of VDU and keyboards. Regular use of locally held databases, and IT Systems.
The post holder will require excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff across the Trust, as well as outside agencies.
