We are looking for the right person to join our dynamic team to deliver a gold standard Post Covid Service for Cornwall and IOS. This will be a challenging and fast changing role to evolve with the changing Service.

You will be a dynamic individual, who likes rising to challenges but able to think calmly and rationally under pressure, with the ability to make reasoned decisions and escalate appropriately. You will be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way and have the ability to multitask whilst dealing with frequent interruptions. You need to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and have excellent verbal and written skills.

The post holder will provide support to the PCS Team with administrative and performance management of waiting lists, demand and capacity and be responsible for data quality and NHSE data capturing. The PCS Service and System Co-ordinator will provide day to day line management and professional supervision to the administration team, ensuring best practice and adherence to Trust policies and procedures is maintained at all times

Post Covid Service Co-ordinatoris required to work closely with the Post Covid-19 Syndrome Multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to ensure timely patient care, efficient and well-prepared meetings, and support the team in collecting and evidencing good working practice in line with national Covid-19 EPRR data collection.

The main duties of this job description are explained, however, these will continue to evolve to meet NHS targets and corporate objectives.

Ability to monitor and analyse complex patient activity data, interpreting and comparing information around trend analysis.

Skilled in extracting and validating complex and sensitive data.

Comprehensive and practical experience of hospital/health care IT systems, ideally including PAS waiting list functions, excellent knowledge of PAS, Maxims, RADAR and other databases as required.

Ability to formulate and implement solutions to areas of concern with regard to data quality, accuracy and/or compliance with NHS targets.

Experience of waiting list management, with an understanding of the NHS Constitution, local and national targets.

Ability to organise and prioritise own workload to meet all relevant deadlines.

Ability to deal with verbally abusive and distressing situations. You will be required to

communicate with a wide range of disciplines and possess an aptitude for negotiation and persuasion.

Supervise workloads across the PCS team and carrying out duties appropriate to the role.

Provide guidance to PCS Team, giving on the job training and advice as appropriate.

Undertake to provide administrative support as necessary to the PCS clinical team.

To understand the complete range of administration functions, responsibilities and duties both routine and non-routine to contribute to the effective delivery of patient care, through knowledge of hospital systems and consultant practice.

Bring to the attention of the clinical staff all results in a timely manner and promptly act on any instructions given regarding these.
