Are you a Consultant with a background in Glaucoma?
This is a great opportunity to take up a Consultant position in our Ophthalmology department based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust. The appointee will join the existing team of 12 dedicated Ophthalmologists, with a further 10 Speciality and Specialist doctors. We are looking for someone who is dynamic and enthusiastic with a range of skills to compliment and develop our services.
Most outpatient activity takes place in a purpose built dedicated Out-patient Department on the Royal Cornwall Hospital site in Truro. Additional clinics are held in community hospitals around Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your skills and experience to further develop local services and deliver excellent care, whilst benefiting from the incredible lifestyle that Cornwall has to offer, in an organisation that values work/ life balance, with a job plan that enables you to make the most of living here. You will have access to two full theatre sessions per week at our brand new theatre site in St Austell.
A formal job plan will be agreed between the successful candidate and the Clinical Director and consultant colleagues on behalf of the Medical Director based on the needs of the department and the strengths/interests of the individual appointed to ensure we have the flexibility to recruit the very best applicant.
