Housing Needs Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Strategic Growth team as a Housing Needs Project Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting projects that develop services, strategies, policies, and procedures across the remit of the team, with a focus on housing, homelessness, and domestic abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support projects that develop services, strategies, policies, and procedures across the remit of the Strategic Growth team.
- Support the team in delivering and managing all forms of accommodation, including temporary accommodation, supported accommodation, and private rented sector accommodation.
- Coordinate, collect, verify, collate, and ensure all relevant data is collected from various sources and submitted in a timely manner to comply with government and local requirements.
- Undertake Housing Needs Surveys on a regular basis to inform developers, planning colleagues, Registered Providers, etc., on needs within the District.
- Undertake a full range of professional duties with an emphasis on providing good customer service, addressing needs and requirements, and maximising income while achieving greater service efficiencies.
- A good standard of education, preferably to degree level, and a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, and A Levels or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years related work experience working with customers, landlords, Registered Providers, or similar.
- Membership of CIH is desirable.
- IT literacy to a high standard, including use of email, spreadsheets, and databases, social media, SurveyMonkey, etc.
- An IT qualification is desirable.
This is a part-time position of 18.5 hours a week, with an annual salary of £32,564 – £35,348 pro rata. Appointment is usually at the bottom of the salary band with annual increments until the top of the scale is reached.
The successful candidate will need to provide a suitable vehicle in connection with the duties of this post and be able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including evening meetings.
