Experienced Tradesperson for Community Housing

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team at Community Housing, where you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of carpentry, construction and refurbishment duties.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking construction and refurbishment works, including kitchens to a high standard.
  • Planning, organising and delivering excellent quality works.
  • Working with Property Care to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
  • Achieving exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record accurate information and monitor progress.
  • Ensuring that works are completed to schedule and budget expectations.
  • Meeting productivity targets by demonstrating commercial awareness and aptitude in your approach to work.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience working in social housing and residential properties. We require a qualified tradesperson with extensive experience, who is able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake various construction and refurbishment tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling and plastering.
  • To plan and deliver high-quality works, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • To maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, communicating effectively and resolving issues promptly.
  • To use technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy, such as PDAs and other digital tools.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified tradesperson with extensive experience in social housing and residential properties.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in using digital tools.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in social housing or residential properties.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including training and development opportunities, health insurance and pension scheme.
