Job Title: Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support the learning journey of a child in Year 6 with behavioural needs in Derby.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, adapting teaching strategies and resources to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.

  • Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development, promoting self-confidence and independence.
  • Foster positive relationships with the student and establish clear communication channels with the school and parents.
  • Uphold the school's values, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. A Level 2/3 qualification in Support for Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 capacity, preferably in an educational setting.
  3. Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student needs.
  4. Knowledge of relevant teaching methodologies and resources for supporting individual students.

Estimated Salary: £27,500 per annum
