Job Description

This role will cover the East Midlands and Lincs & Northern Home Counties regions.

The Senior Practitioner will lead the implementation and delivery of Positive Behaviour Support for designated regions, delivering support to sites. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the implementation and delivery of Positive Behaviour Support for designated regions.
  2. Providing supervision, leadership, and support to team members to manage their workload.
  3. Enabling site teams to implement positive approaches that improve wellbeing and quality of life by providing direct support and training.
  4. Delivering PROACT-SCIPr-UK training across the region on an ongoing basis.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree or higher qualification.
  • A formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, such as a BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS/ABA Graduate Diploma, or PBS BTEC Level 5 (Advanced Professional Diploma).
  • A proven track record of team leadership and associated skills.
  • Able to work towards Instructor Level of PROACT-SCIPr-UK.
  • A demonstrated history of providing direct support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions for individuals presenting with challenging behaviour.
  • A history of delivering Positive Behaviour Support training.
  • A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices.
