Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Job Description:
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Academic Mentor to support students displaying challenging behaviour. You will work one-to-one and in small groups, providing guidance and promoting social and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students at risk of permanent exclusion.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to lead teachers.
- Engage students in learning activities and promote their social and emotional development.
Requirements:
Key Skills and Qualifications:- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, ADHD, SEMH, and complex challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication skills and ability to educate and engage students.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents/guardians.
