Job Description:

We are recruiting for an Adult Autism Practitioner to provide expert support to individuals with a learning disability or Autism in the North West of England. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in direct support work and hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
  • Leading and delivering practice leadership and workshops
  • Incident support and analysis
  • Staff training and development

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of direct support work with people with a learning disability/Autism
  • Holding a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Qualification or willingness to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills
  • In-depth understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions
  • Reducing restrictive practices
  • Delivering Positive Behaviour Support training
  • Record keeping and report writing skills

Salary: Approximately £38,000 per annum depending on experience.
