As a seasoned account manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and retention for our mid-market clients. This challenging yet rewarding position offers a unique blend of sales acumen, industry expertise, and strategic thinking.

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Mid-Market Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, as well as a deep understanding of the IT and technology sectors.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of mid-market clients, with a focus on client retention, upselling solutions, and achieving sales targets. You will also lead the timely delivery of high-quality client proposals, maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, and conduct regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with your client base.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, with experience in negotiation, developing business cases, and demonstrating ROI. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to engage clients via phone, video, and email.

Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, willing to support colleagues in achieving their targets. They will also stay current on industry advancements and trends, particularly in the fast-evolving technology space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-market clients, focusing on client retention and upselling solutions.
  • Lead the timely delivery of high-quality client proposals, responding to RFPs for renewals and new business.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, including whitespace analysis and comprehensive contact plans.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with your client base to drive sales activity and meet governance requirements.
  • Develop micro-campaigns to boost adoption of key products and services.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in commercial decision-making processes, including sign-off on deals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the IT or technology sectors, with a working knowledge of services such as managed/outsourced IT services, Microsoft Cloud services, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage clients via phone, video, and email.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in negotiation, developing business cases, and demonstrating ROI.
Estimated Salary Range:

£45,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus commission up to £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
