About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deal Desk Specialist to join our team at Alteryx. As a key member of our sales operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our high-performing sales team and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote-to-Order Cycle Support: Provide expert guidance and support to the sales team on quoting, contracting options, and approval processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, and Order Management, to drive deals to closure.
  • Deal Desk Queue Management: Monitor and manage the Deal Desk queues in Salesforce, providing general assistance and advice on common deal questions and Quote-to-Order process questions, while consistently maintaining departmental SLAs.
  • Quote Cycle Acceleration: Partner with Sales to accelerate the quote cycle through operational efficiencies and ongoing education.
  • Quote Accuracy and Resolution: Ensure accuracy of all quote fields in CPQ to minimize downstream discrepancies and re-work, and collaborate with impacted parties to resolve common Quote to Cash errors.
  • Sales Approval and Order Acceptance: Serve as a subject matter expert on Sales Approval, Bookings, and Order Acceptance policies, ensuring accuracy of Bookings metrics and resolving discrepancies as required.
Requirements
  • Enterprise Software Experience: Familiarity with Enterprise Software/SaaS B2B Industry, with experience in Order Management, Finance Operations, Deal Desk, or Sales Operations preferred.
  • CPQ Tool Experience: Experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar CPQ tool highly preferred.
  • Quantitative Skills: Strong quantitative skills and highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM teams and other cross-functional departments, with excellent communication skills and a willingness to receive feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized, customer-focused, and strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize during high-volume periods.
  • Revenue Recognition and Sales Contracts: Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules, sales contracts, SOX, and the ability to recognize risk in deal terms and/or structure.
  • Software Licensing and SaaS Provisioning: Basic understanding of software licensing and SaaS provisioning process.
