Join our team as a Transformation Lead in Non-Medical Staff Development and be part of shaping the future of healthcare. We are looking for a talented individual to fill this critical role, which involves leading the development of education and training activities for non-medical staff.

In this position, you will be responsible for identifying the education and training needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for students, new starters, and existing non-medical staff within the NOTSSCaN Division.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Education and Training: As a key member of the team, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all non-medical staff have access to high-quality education and training opportunities.
  • Nursing Education Team Management: You will lead and manage the Nursing Education Team in the Neuro ICU, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Educational Planning: You will participate in the annual review and development of the strategic education plan for non-medical staff, working closely with the Leadership Team to ensure alignment with organisational goals.

  • Oxford Model Utilisation: You will champion the use of the Oxford Model, utilising its principles to drive excellence in professional nursing and midwifery practice.
  • Training Needs Identification: Through your expertise, you will identify and address the unique training and education needs of each staff member, tailoring your approach to meet the diverse requirements of the team.
  • Competency-Based Programmes: You will design and deliver competency-based programmes that equip non-medical staff with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: By utilising your coaching and mentoring skills, you will empower team members to take ownership of their professional development, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Research and Quality Improvement: You will actively contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, driving innovation and excellence throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse: A Registered Nurse with a first degree in Nursing and relevant clinical experience.
  • PG Cert Adult Critical Nursing: A PG Cert in Adult Critical Nursing or equivalent, with a strong understanding of adult critical care principles.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, including 1 year as a Clinical Practice Educator (CPE).
  • Educational Passion: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality training and education programs.
  • Teaching Qualification: A recognised post-registration teaching qualification, demonstrating your expertise in education and training.
  • Leadership Programme Completion: Completion of a leadership development programme or equivalent, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Educational Programme Evaluation: Evidence of designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs, with a proven track record of success.
