Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Transformation Unit seeks an accomplished Urology Specialist Nurse to join their Diagnostic team at Churchill Hospital in Oxford.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated nurse to contribute to high-quality patient care within a dynamic team, focusing on patients with suspected bladder and prostate cancer.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective diagnostic pathways for patients with suspected prostate cancer.
- Manage referrals, conduct telephone clinics, and collaborate with the Faster Diagnostic Clinical Navigator to optimize patient outcomes.
- Coordinate imaging requests, interpret MRI results, and make informed decisions regarding prostate biopsy.
- Oversee post-prostatectomy follow-up clinics, advising patients on transitioning to Patient-Led Follow-Up.
- A degree in nursing, midwifery, or a related field.
- Student assessor and supervisor training.
- Relevant urology experience (Band 7).
- Ongoing professional development.
- Non-Medical Prescriber registration.
The expected annual salary for this role is £43,141 - £62,465, contingent on experience.
