Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to play a crucial role in patient care within the NHS.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the operational aspects of the pharmacy homecare service, planning, developing, and organizing under the direction of the Pharmacy Homecare Service Manager.
  • Process, authorize, and receive Homecare deliveries on the pharmacy system, providing homecare pharmacy services within clinical areas as required due to service capacity.
  • Be a point of contact within the Trust regarding medicines home delivery services for Homecare companies, Pharmacists, Clinicians, Purchasers, Contracting, and Finance.
  • Coordinate the pharmacy homecare medicines service, prioritizing and managing the workload, and resolving problems as they arise.
  • Support service review meetings for homecare medicines management, working closely with Homecare companies, Pharmacists, Nurses, Doctors, other Healthcare staff, and patients.
Key Requirements:
  • Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy.

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
