As a Pharmacy Technician - Medication Supply Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth supply of medications to patients across the region.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings and possess relevant qualifications, including registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for labeling, dispensing, and checking prescriptions in the Dispensary, as well as providing final checks as an Accredited Checker. They will also be required to supply Controlled Drug Stock to ward areas, work with patients and nursing staff at Pharmacy reception, and order medicines/unpack and put stock away.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory activities such as labeling, dispensing, and checking prescriptions in the Dispensary;
  • Providing final checks as an Accredited Checker;
  • Supplying Controlled Drug Stock to ward areas;
  • Working with patients and nursing staff at Pharmacy reception;
  • Ordering medicines/unpacking and putting stock away;
  • Organizing and planning the supply of medicines to patients, wards, and departments served by the Trust.

Requirements:

  • Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC);
  • Must be ACT accredited;
  • NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent;
  • Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings;
