About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Team Lead in Acute Psychiatric Care.

Job Description

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to patients with acute or severe mental illnesses. Your expertise will help drive innovation and excellence in patient care, while promoting a culture of compassion, kindness, and respect within our multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Your leadership skills will enable you to motivate and support your team members in their professional development, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to excel in their roles. You will also play a critical role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, where everyone feels valued and supported.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing evidence-based care to patients with acute or severe mental illnesses.
  • Develop and implement effective clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members in their professional development, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, kindness, and respect within the MDT, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with senior clinicians and managers to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote best practice in patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse qualification.
  • Proven experience in a leadership and management role, preferably in an acute psychiatric setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, motivating and supporting staff members in their professional development.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
