Transforming Patient Outcomes in Urology

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as part of its Transformation Unit, is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Clinician - Urology to join their Diagnostic team at Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

This exciting opportunity enables a motivated and experienced nurse to work within a dynamic team, delivering exceptional care to patients with suspected bladder and prostate cancer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the initial diagnostic pathway for suspected prostate cancer, guiding patients through a seamless experience.
  • Triage referrals and conduct telephone clinics with the Faster Diagnostic Clinical Navigator, ensuring efficient patient flow.
  • Request imaging and undertake clinics to inform patients of MRI results, making decisions regarding prostate biopsy.
  • Run post-prostatectomy follow-up clinics, advising patients on transitioning to Patient-Led Follow-Up.
Requirements:
  • A first-level degree in nursing, midwifery, or equivalent.
  • Completed student assessor and supervisor training.
  • Relevant urology experience (for Band 7).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Registered Non-Medical Prescriber.

The estimated salary range for this position is £43,141 - £62,465 per annum, dependent on experience.
