Nurse Consultant in Urology

The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Specialist Nurse to join their Urology Diagnostic Nursing Team. This fixed-term position offers a competitive salary of £32,878 - £43,041 per annum (Band 6/7 dependant on experience) and the chance to work in a dynamic team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this critical role, you will be responsible for guiding patients with suspected prostate cancer through their diagnostic pathway. You will work closely with the Faster Diagnostic Clinical Navigator to triage referrals, conduct telephone clinics, and determine the need for further investigations. Your responsibilities will also include requesting imaging, informing patients of their MRI results, and deciding on the next steps for their treatment.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
