Job Overview

The Transformation Unit at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Urology Diagnostic Nurse Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work as part of the Urology Diagnostic Nursing Team, providing exceptional care and compassion to patients with suspected bladder and prostate cancer.

This is a fixed-term position lasting 12 months, offering a competitive salary of £53,052 - £68,377 per annum, depending on experience. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for guiding patients through their diagnostic pathway, working alongside the Faster Diagnostic Clinical Navigator to triage referrals and undertake telephone clinics. You will also request appropriate imaging and inform patients of their MRI results, making decisions regarding prostate biopsy.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of specialist nursing knowledge and skills within the service. Our team is based in Urology Outpatients, with a flexible schedule that includes some Saturday clinics.
