We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our high-performing team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented doctor to contribute to the development of clinical services in our busy Emergency Department.

About the RoleThis full-time position requires MBBS or equivalent medical qualification with evidence of 12 months experience in Emergency Medicine, including six months working in an Emergency Department in the UK. You must be eligible for full registration with the GMC and hold a current license to practice.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical services. You will work closely with the EM Consultant Team, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to educational and research activities.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the initial assessment and care of patients under the supervision of the Emergency Physician in Charge (EPIC)
- Support the EPIC at night, managing resources appropriately to ensure patient safety and escalating to Consultant on Call if required
- Provide timely guidance to junior Emergency Department medical staff
- Collaborate with nursing and other clinical colleagues to deliver high-quality emergency care
- Develop and implement clinical protocols of care for all conditions/presentations
- Participate in educational and research activities of the Emergency Department at St. Peter's Hospital
- Support the delivery of key performance objectives
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Evidence of 12 months experience in Emergency Medicine, including six months in an ED in the UK
- Eligibility for full registration with the GMC and a current license to practice
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, lates, twilights, and nights
