Complaints and Information Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Complaints and Information Manager - Children and Adults Services to join our team at Pertemps Harrow. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Adult and Children's Social Care provision in an LA context and all relevant legislation.
This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Complaints and FOI team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing support to the People's Directorate in the management of complaints and Freedom of Information.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day supervision, work allocation, and training of the Complaints and FOI team.
- Management of the service across the Children and Adults divisions.
- Managing the most sensitive complaints on behalf of the senior management teams for the respective divisions.
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the External Investigating Officers (IO) and Independent Persons (IP) Pool for relevant statutory complaints.
- Ensuring staff comply with and implement procedures in place for dealing with complaints, Councillor & MP enquiries, and FOI & DPA in line with Council and statutory requirements.
- Writing scrutiny reports and presenting to committees for both Children's and Adults management teams.
