About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Complaints and Information Manager - Children and Adults Services to join our team at Pertemps Harrow. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Adult and Children's Social Care provision in an LA context and all relevant legislation.

This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Complaints and FOI team, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing support to the People's Directorate in the management of complaints and Freedom of Information.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Day-to-day supervision, work allocation, and training of the Complaints and FOI team.
  3. Management of the service across the Children and Adults divisions.
  4. Managing the most sensitive complaints on behalf of the senior management teams for the respective divisions.
  5. Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the External Investigating Officers (IO) and Independent Persons (IP) Pool for relevant statutory complaints.
  6. Ensuring staff comply with and implement procedures in place for dealing with complaints, Councillor & MP enquiries, and FOI & DPA in line with Council and statutory requirements.
  7. Writing scrutiny reports and presenting to committees for both Children's and Adults management teams.
