Position Overview

The Clinical and Care Professional Leads play a pivotal role in supporting initiatives across the south east London region, with a specific focus on borough-based programs. It is essential that candidates are currently engaged in work within this area.

The Clinical/Care Professional Lead for Community Engagement is a vital role within the Lambeth Together Care Partnership, collaborating with various stakeholders including the NHS, Local Authorities, the Voluntary and Community Sector, and local residents. The individual in this position will work in partnership with these entities to amplify the voices of our communities, ensuring that the experiences of patients, service users, and caregivers are integral to our service planning and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members of the Communications and Engagement Group, Lambeth Together, Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Delivery Alliance, and community partners to identify avenues for enhancing the resident, patient, service user, and caregiver voice. Advocate for the importance of lived experiences and promote co-productive methods in service design and delivery.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with local and South East London teams engaged in community engagement efforts, fostering integrated approaches to ensure that local community insights inform person-centered care outcomes.
  • Partner with the Lambeth Together Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Group and related initiatives to prioritize the reduction of health disparities in our community work, particularly focusing on amplifying underrepresented voices and employing targeted engagement strategies to guide local teams in their efforts.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications/Skills

Essential

  • Current employment in Lambeth with recent experience in engaging with residents and the voluntary and community sector.
  • Proven experience in exploring innovative approaches to address inequalities and collaborate with residents.
  • Familiarity with health, care, and voluntary & community services in Lambeth.
  • A strong advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, demonstrating effective and compassionate leadership that ensures all voices are acknowledged and fostering a culture where staff feel empowered to express their views.
  • Clinical and Care Professional Leads are expected to support initiatives across south east London, with a focus on borough-specific roles.

  • Previous involvement in peer networks and collaborative projects.
