Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Family Group Conference Coordinators to join our team at the London Borough of Lambeth. As a Family Group Conference Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating meetings between family members and professionals to develop safe and sustainable solutions for children in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate Family Group Conferences to bring family members and professionals together to develop plans for children in need.
  • Work with families to identify their strengths and needs, and develop solutions that meet their unique circumstances.
  • Provide support and guidance to families throughout the conference process.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the family's situation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families, building trust and rapport to facilitate open and honest communication.

Requirements

  • Experience working with families and children in a social care or related setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of families.
  • Knowledge of the Family Group Conference model and its application in social care settings.
  • Mediation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to facilitate constructive dialogue between family members.
