Position Overview

As a vital member of our wholesale team, the Wholesale Account Manager will possess a genuine passion for outstanding coffee, coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in nurturing client relationships and enhancing our commercial success.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with specialty coffee in the UK market
  • Experience with management software such as Xero, Unleashed, and Shopify (not mandatory)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated success in sales growth and relationship management
  • Strong leadership abilities to develop and manage a team

Performance Metrics

  • Completion of a six-month probationary period with a performance review
  • Achievement of agreed-upon quarterly sales targets
  • Management of the new customer pipeline
  • Regular appraisals every six months
  • Monthly performance review meetings with direct supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the wholesale team, including sales and account management
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products in alignment with our core values
  • Identify opportunities to engage and support wholesale clients
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding our services and support
  • Manage the wholesale account managers to ensure effective planning of their activities
  • Monitor ordering trends and respond to changes in demand
  • Coordinate technical support for clients as needed
  • Provide training at our Roastery or at client locations when necessary
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve quarterly sales objectives
  • Participate in trade events and exhibitions as required
  • Convert leads from inquiries and proactively seek new business opportunities
  • Research potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the benefits of our offerings
  • Organize and conduct sales meetings with prospective clients in diverse settings
  • Keep the new business pipeline updated, tracking all prospecting activities
  • Work closely with the roastery team to identify prospects and enhance conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the Head of Coffee on sales forecasting and planning
  • Develop strategic plans for coffee sales, ensuring a generous approach
  • Adapt to last-minute changes and resolve issues while prioritizing customer needs
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
