Position Overview - Customer Service and Weighbridge Specialist

Location: Dumfries, Scotland

Salary: £22,000-£23,000 per annum

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Job Summary:

Are you dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service? Do you prioritize customer satisfaction in every interaction? If so, this role may be the ideal fit for you.

This dynamic position combines the responsibilities of Customer Service and Weighbridge Operations. Reporting to the Order Processing Supervisor and Site Manager, you will be the primary contact for all customers of the NWH Group, overseeing and coordinating waste movements on and off-site. Your role will involve ensuring the precise recording of waste material weights and classifications in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Duties:

Warmly greet both new and existing customers through various communication channels. Cultivate strong relationships and rapport with clients. Efficiently manage a high volume of inquiries, orders, and communications. Address and resolve customer complaints proactively. Handle invoice inquiries with skill and attention to detail. Accurately create, document, and schedule orders/services using specialized IT systems. Promote the company's services passionately and support the sales team. Represent the NWH Group as a professional ambassador.

Weighbridge Operations Duties:

Precisely record weights and waste classifications for each vehicle. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe weighbridge office and surrounding area. Comply with licensing regulations and environmental guidelines. Assist with general administrative tasks and customer service as needed. Collaborate with transport, sales, and workshop teams as required. Foster a culture of safety and compliance. Ensure all site visitors are properly signed in and out. Ensure all visitors and customers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain professional and courteous interactions with all customers. Communicate effectively with all NWH employees, including the site manager.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude. Self-motivated and proactive. Exceptional attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable approach to work. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills across all levels of staff. Knowledge of recycling processes and materials. Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational abilities. Previous customer service training is a plus.
