About the Role

The NWH Group is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Order Processing Customer Support and Weighbridge Operator. This combined role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing orders, and operating the weighbridge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vibrant customer service to new and established customers, ensuring accurate recording of waste materials weight and waste code in line with licensing requirements.
  • Proactively manage high volumes of orders, emails, and customer complaints, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Accurately create, record, and schedule orders/services onto bespoke IT systems, ensuring seamless communication with internal teams.
  • Act as an ambassador for the NWH Group, promoting the company's services and supporting the Sales function.
  • Operate the weighbridge, accurately recording weights and waste types by vehicle, while maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Adhere to licensing guidelines and SEPA regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Team player with a can-do attitude, self-motivated, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with experience working in a high-pressured environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, and knowledge of materials processed recycling.
  • Competent in basic Microsoft Office Packages, with strong organizational skills.
  • Previous customer service training is desirable.

The NWH Group is a second-generation family business headquartered in Midlothian, servicing the whole of Scotland and the north east of England from ten sites. Our vision is to eliminate waste by transforming it into a valuable product.

We collect waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab, and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, transporting materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy, and animal bedding.
