About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team at mydentist. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting a group of overseas qualified dentists in obtaining their NHS performer numbers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Supervision: Work with up to 3 overseas qualified dentists in a general dental practice environment, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their clinical requirements.
  • Liaise with Clinical Team: Collaborate with the mydentist clinical team to monitor the progress and abilities of the dentists, ensuring they meet the necessary standards.
  • Attend Training and Meetings: Participate in training sessions and meetings as required by mydentist to maintain your skills and competencies as a Clinical Supervisor.
  • Assess and Grade Treatment: Evaluate the treatment provided by the dentists and assess their professionalism, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Maintain Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain your skills and competencies as a Clinical Supervisor.
  • Support Integration: Liaise with the practice manager to ensure the satisfactory integration of dentists into the practice.
  • Pastoral Support: Provide appropriate pastoral support to the dental students while in the practice, reporting any issues arising.
Requirements
  • Full GDC Registration: Hold full registration with the General Dental Council as a dentist or specialist and have an active NHS performer number.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Possess a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience as a general dentist and have previous experience in teaching or mentoring.
