About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to support our innovative training scheme for overseas qualified dentists. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical supervision and support to our trainees, ensuring they meet the required standards for NHS performer numbers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide expert clinical supervision to up to 3 overseas qualified dentists in a general dental practice environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Liaise with our clinical team to monitor the progress and abilities of our trainees.
  • Training and Development: Attend training sessions and meetings as required to maintain your skills and competencies as a clinical supervisor.
  • Assessment and Grading: Assess and grade the treatment provided by our trainees to ensure they meet the required clinical standards.
  • Pastoral Support: Provide appropriate pastoral support to our trainees while they are in the practice and report any issues arising.
Requirements
  • Registration and Qualifications: Full GDC registration as a dentist or specialist and an active NHS performer number.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience as a general dentist.
  • Desirable Skills: Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is highly desirable.
