Position Overview – Relief Call Center Operator

This is a permanent role requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

Role Summary

As a Relief Call Center Operator, you will report directly to the Call Center Manager and will be an integral part of our Care Coordination team. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the admission process for patients requiring hospital care, collaborating closely with medical practices and our clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for clinicians seeking emergency secondary care.
  • Manage both inbound and outbound calls from patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring swift routing to the appropriate services.
  • Coordinate outpatient appointments and hospital admissions efficiently.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and patients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and electronic fax.
  • Accurately input patient information into our systems.
  • Provide essential administrative support to colleagues and clinicians.

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in call handling or customer service.
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Flexible, reliable, self-motivated, and resourceful.
