About the Role

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal complaints, including emergency and elective care.
  • Participate in the gastroenterology on-call rota, ensuring seamless coverage and high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the audit and governance of our services, driving quality improvement and excellence.
  • Support the training and development of junior medical staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
  • Engage in research and development activities, exploring new treatments and technologies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, achieving clinical and quality targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our patients, families, and carers, ensuring excellent communication and patient-centered care.
