Key Responsibilities:

As an Interim Care Services Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Guiding staff to empower service users in articulating their needs, facilitating their involvement in the planning of their support.
  • Ensuring that each service user has a comprehensive health action plan, along with access to regular health assessments to promote their overall well-being.
  • Maintaining accountability for the quality of care provided, ensuring compliance with essential care standards set by regulatory bodies.
  • Understanding and adhering to all relevant policies and legislation governing the care sector.
  • Collaborating closely with senior management and financial directors to effectively manage service budgets.
  • Implementing strategies to market services to commissioning bodies and addressing occupancy challenges to achieve full capacity.

Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of three years' experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, along with associated complex needs.
  • At least an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • A warm, respectful, and person-centered approach to working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Knowledge and skills for the safe management and administration of medication.
  • Current understanding of best practices in managing challenging behaviors, utilizing a positive behavior support framework.
  • Ability to conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, developing tailored support and risk management plans.
  • A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
