Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Ofsted Registered Children's home service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the service, managing staff, and providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage a team of staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent care and support to our residents.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our residents, working closely with senior staff and external agencies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the service, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medication to our residents, ensuring accurate records are kept and medication is stored securely.
  • Financial Management: Manage the service's budget, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development, ensuring you are up-to-date with best practices and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of experience working with children or young people in a residential environment, with 2 years at a senior level.
  • Qualifications: Minimum of a Level 4 Diploma in Children's Residential Services or working towards.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other: Full UK driving license, ability to participate in on-call rotas, and take out-of-hours calls as required.
