Sales Development Specialist

The Sales Development Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing sales and expanding market presence. This position is dedicated to the effective execution of Sierra Nevada brands within key retail and hospitality accounts through strategic product distribution, impactful display implementation, and promotional activities. The Sales Development Specialist will dedicate a significant portion of their time to ensuring successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the existing client base to secure new distribution channels, implement promotional initiatives, and boost market presence.
  • Identify and pursue new business and retail prospects to enhance volume, distribution, and market share in the designated region.
  • Ensure optimal merchandising of products and point-of-sale materials in alignment with brand standards.
  • Conduct educational sessions, product tastings, and various events as required.
  • On- and Off-Premise: securing displays, ensuring product placement, addressing gaps, maintaining quality, and providing POS support.
  • Deliver exceptional service to assigned accounts, aiming to become their preferred supplier.
  • Operate efficiently within brewery guidelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Compile and present reports on the assigned region and general market insights to management and wholesalers.
  • Coordinate events and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Implement monthly National Account initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or a combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Preferred: Previous sales experience in the alcoholic beverage sector.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting company business objectives, including volume, distribution, and profitability.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s history, culture, and product offerings.
  • Ability to engage with various management levels in both retail and wholesale environments.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales acumen.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record over the past three years is required.
  • Primary residence within the designated area is preferred.
