About This Role

The Senior Market Development Representative is a key member of our sales team, responsible for driving growth and increasing market share for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in their assigned area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retail Execution: Spend quality time in market individually and with the team to obtain new distribution, execute promotional activities, and ensure Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. brand standards are met.
  • Wholesale Management: Manage assigned wholesalers in the area, working closely with the sales team to increase sales and market share.
  • Exceptional Service: Provide exceptional service to wholesalers, aiming to become their preferred supplier.
  • Proactive Communication: Maintain proactive, solution-oriented communication with supervisors, sales teams, and wholesalers.
  • Business Planning: Develop, deliver, execute, and participate in monthly and annual planning meetings for assigned wholesalers, leading the execution of Annual Business Plans.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Provide weekly written recaps to wholesalers and the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. team of business results, opportunities, and assigned accountabilities/tasks. Responsible for budgets, including co-op dollars, writing incentives, and approving bill-backs.
  • Due Diligence: Assist in the 'Due Diligence' process regarding wholesaler transition.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Operate effectively within brewery and budgetary guidelines.
  • Reporting and Communication: Work with leadership to ensure team reports and pricing communication are distributed within the three tiers – Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., our chains, and our wholesalers.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • Experience: 2 years of sales experience preferred, with previous sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of state and federal liquor laws required. Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve company business plan goals, including volume, distribution, and profitability. Strong organization and time management skills. In-depth knowledge of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s history, culture, and product. Ability to interface with various levels of management at both retail and wholesale. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent sales skills. Self-motivated and ability to work with limited direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Driver's License: Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last three years upon hire required.
  • Residency: Primary residence within the greater Orlando, FL area.
