Sales Development Specialist

The Sales Development Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing sales and expanding market presence. This position emphasizes the execution of Sierra Nevada brands within key retail and hospitality accounts through effective product distribution, display management, and promotional activities. The Sales Development Specialist will dedicate a significant portion of their time to executing these strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the existing client base to secure new distribution channels, implement promotional initiatives, and boost market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business and retail opportunities to enhance volume, distribution, and market presence.
  • Ensure products are merchandised correctly and that point-of-sale materials align with brand standards.
  • Conduct staff training sessions, product tastings, and other promotional events as necessary.
  • Manage on- and off-premise activities, including securing displays, ensuring product placement, addressing gaps, and providing point-of-sale support.
  • Deliver exceptional service to assigned accounts, aiming to become their preferred supplier.
  • Operate within brewery and budgetary guidelines effectively.
  • Compile and present reports on market insights and assigned area performance to management and wholesalers.
  • Coordinate events and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Implement monthly opportunities for National Accounts.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Two years of business-to-business sales experience is preferred.
  • Prior sales experience in the alcoholic beverage sector is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting company business objectives, including volume, distribution, and profitability.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s history, culture, and product offerings.
  • Ability to interact with various management levels in both retail and wholesale environments.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
  • Primary residence within the designated area is necessary.
