Position Overview

As a key member of our wholesale team, the Wholesale Account Manager will possess a genuine passion for coffee, excel in customer service, and demonstrate a commitment to nurturing client relationships while driving our business growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with specialty coffee in the UK market
  • Experience with management software such as Xero, Unleashed, and Shopify (not mandatory)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated success in sales growth and relationship management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a team

Performance Metrics

  • Completion of a six-month probationary period with a performance review
  • Achievement of agreed-upon quarterly sales targets
  • Maintenance of a robust new customer pipeline
  • Regular appraisals every six months to assess role performance
  • Monthly performance review meetings with direct supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the wholesale team, encompassing both sales and account management
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products in alignment with our core values
  • Identify opportunities to engage and support wholesale clients
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding our services and support
  • Supervise wholesale account managers, ensuring effective planning of their activities
  • Analyze ordering trends and respond to fluctuations in demand
  • Coordinate third-party technical support for clients as needed
  • Conduct training sessions at our Roastery or client locations
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve quarterly sales objectives
  • Participate in trade events and exhibitions as required
  • Convert leads from inquiries and proactively seek new business opportunities
  • Research potential clients to understand their needs and promote our offerings
  • Organize and lead sales meetings with prospective clients
  • Keep the new business pipeline updated, tracking all lead management activities
  • Work closely with the roastery team to identify prospects and enhance conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the Head of Coffee on forecasting sales and planning green bean orders
  • Develop comprehensive strategies for coffee sales
  • Adapt to last-minute changes and prioritize customer needs effectively
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
