Position Overview

As a key member of our wholesale division, the Wholesale Account Manager will possess a genuine passion for quality coffee, outstanding customer service skills, and a commitment to nurturing client relationships while driving our business growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with the specialty coffee market in the UK
  • Experience with management software such as Xero, Unleashed, and Shopify (not mandatory)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated success in sales growth and relationship management
  • Effective team leadership and development skills

Performance Evaluation

  • Initial six-month review period
  • Quarterly sales objectives
  • Maintenance of a robust new customer pipeline
  • Regular performance appraisals every six months
  • Monthly discussions with supervisors to assess commercial outcomes

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the wholesale team, including sales and account management
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our product range in alignment with our core values
  • Identify and engage with wholesale clients to enhance their experience
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding our services and support options
  • Supervise the wholesale account managers, ensuring effective planning of their activities
  • Analyze ordering trends and respond to fluctuations in demand
  • Coordinate third-party technical assistance for clients
  • Provide training sessions at our roastery or client locations as needed
  • Collaborate with various departments to achieve sales targets and business objectives
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events as required
  • Convert leads from inquiries and actively seek new business opportunities
  • Conduct research on potential clients to tailor our offerings to their needs
  • Organize and facilitate sales meetings with prospective clients
  • Keep the new business pipeline updated, tracking all lead management activities
  • Work closely with the roastery team to identify prospects and enhance conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the Head of Coffee on forecasting and planning for green bean orders
  • Adopt a generous approach to coffee sales, developing strategies to achieve targets
  • Adapt to last-minute changes and solve problems while prioritizing customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
