About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Account Development Manager to join our team at The Advocate Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our national account customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies to achieve budgeted growth targets with our national account customers.
  • Expand Product Range: Increase product distribution within existing accounts and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Improve Profitability: Implement cost price increases to maintain acceptable levels of margin for the business.
  • Accurate Forecasting: Provide accurate business forecasting to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  • Communicate Opportunities and Risks: Proactively communicate business opportunities and risks with solutions to resolve them.
  • Unlock New Markets: Identify and target new accounts in the UK Discounter & Wholesale channel with a tailored range of products.
  • Represent the Business: Build relationships and drive the business agenda at key industry events.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal departments to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing and growing business in UK Discounters and Wholesale accounts.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to make things happen and drive business growth.
  • Attention to Detail: Good attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
  • Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Network and Communication: A network of useful contacts across key customers and excellent communication skills.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive 'can-do' attitude and a desire to be part of a successful team.
