Role Overview

• Take charge of the care of research participants within the relevant practice area, utilizing opportunities for health promotion and patient education.


• Apply clinical expertise to screen and identify eligible patients for clinical research, utilizing inclusion and exclusion criteria and leveraging NHS records, screening clinics, ward visits, and outpatient services.


• Relevant clinical knowledge is essential for effective screening against specified inclusion/exclusion criteria for participant recruitment.


• The post-holder must possess pertinent clinical knowledge and the ability to critically assess participants' progress through research pathways to respond and refer appropriately.

Additional Information about the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Nurse to join the Dewerstone Research Team. This position offers a favorable work-life balance, primarily operating during standard office hours, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in clinical research to manage the CRN Hepatology and Surgical portfolio of studies. Established clinical skills, alongside research knowledge and experience, are essential. A clinical background or current experience in the field would be beneficial.

The post-holder will work independently, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and IT skills to oversee a variety of studies within the portfolio, with guidance and broader oversight from a Research Team lead.

This role necessitates close collaboration with the clinical hepatology and surgery multidisciplinary teams, particularly with consultants and specialist nurses. The post-holder will be responsible for the daily management and recruitment for various studies, which include both non-interventional (observational) studies and more complex interventional commercial trials involving investigational medical products (CTIMPs).

Working Schedule: This position entails a standard workweek, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for evenings and/or weekends, depending on trial and patient availability.
