Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our esteemed team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role is pivotal in delivering specialized care for patients with Head and Neck Cancers, Thyroid Cancers, and those requiring Long-term and Complex Tracheostomy management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a specialized team to provide comprehensive services across both primary and secondary healthcare environments.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, develop tailored care plans, and implement specialized interventions while ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
- Serve as an advanced specialist in the management of Head & Neck Cancers, Thyroid Cancers, and related conditions.
- Deliver educational training and support to nursing staff to enhance clinical competencies.
- Engage in research initiatives and clinical audits to advance practice within the specialty.
- Oversee and mentor junior nursing staff, fostering their professional development.
Role Expectations
As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with the Nurse Consultant to enhance and evolve our specialist nursing services in alignment with both national and local healthcare priorities.
Work Schedule
This position typically requires a commitment of hours per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule between 8 AM and 6 PM. While service needs take precedence, we strive to offer flexibility in working hours to support a healthy work-life balance.
