Position Overview


• Accountable for the effective execution of the clinical research team's operational plan within designated specialties.

• Apply clinical expertise to screen and identify eligible patients for clinical research, utilizing inclusion and exclusion criteria alongside NHS records, screening clinics, ward visits, and outpatient services.


• Possess essential clinical knowledge within the relevant practice area to facilitate accurate screening against specified recruitment criteria.


• The successful candidate will demonstrate relevant clinical expertise and the ability to critically assess participants' progress through research pathways, ensuring appropriate responses and referrals.

Additional Information about the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Nurse to become part of the Dewerstone Research Team. This position offers a favorable work-life balance, primarily adhering to standard working hours from Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in clinical research to oversee the CRN Hepatology and Surgical study portfolio. Established clinical skills, alongside research knowledge and experience, are essential. A clinical background or current experience in the field would be beneficial.

The post holder will operate independently, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and IT capabilities to manage a variety of studies within the portfolio, under the guidance of a Research Team lead.

This role necessitates close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in clinical hepatology and surgery, particularly with consultants and specialist nurses. The post holder will manage daily operations and participant recruitment for a range of studies, including both observational and complex interventional commercial trials involving investigational medical products (CTIMPs).

Work Schedule: Regular hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility required for some evenings and/or weekends, depending on trial demands and patient availability.
