About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Upper GI, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with Upper GI conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on Upper GI conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on Upper GI conditions and management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in Upper GI nursing, preferably in a specialist role.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in Upper GI conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
