We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the West of England Gender Identity Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment, support, and access to interventions for transgender patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment and support to transgender patients, including monitoring gender-affirming hormones and liaising with GP practices.
- Work collaboratively with the medical lead and senior clinical nurse specialist to develop and implement service improvements.
- Contribute to the overall clinical governance of the service, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Provide education and supervision to junior team members and other professionals, promoting best practice and clinical excellence.
- Professional qualification to degree level or equivalent, with current registration with the NMC or relevant professional body.
- Experience of individual patient case management responsibility, substantial experience of multidisciplinary team working, and satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.
- Desirable qualifications include non-medical prescribing, relevant master's degree, or working towards, and training in transgender healthcare and gender diversity.
