About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the West of England Gender Identity Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, support, and access to interventions for transgender patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and formulate treatment plans within a multi-disciplinary framework.
  • Monitor gender-affirming hormones for trans male, trans female, and non-binary patients.
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical work, including liaison with GP practices across England.
  • Support the Medical Lead and Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in service development and contribute to overall Clinical Governance.
  • Demonstrate active clinical and managerial leadership skills, providing education and supervision to junior team members and other professionals.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification to degree level or equivalent.
  • Maintains current registration with NMC or relevant Professional body.
  • Willingness to undertake new clinical practices, education, and training that will enhance service delivery.
